TRAPIDE CEO Engages with Children in Minakami on Life & Sports in the DRC

Freddy Kankolongo Cisuaka, CEO of TRAPIDE Co., Ltd., recently participated in a cultural exchange activity at an elementary school in Minakami, engaging directly with local children through discussions on daily life, culture, and sports in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

During the session, students were introduced to the realities of life in the DRC, with particular emphasis on the role of sports—especially basketball as a tool for youth development, discipline, and community building. The interactive discussion encouraged curiosity, open dialogue, and mutual understanding between Japan and Africa.

A Connecting Japan and Africa Through Youth Dialogue

Drawing from his personal background and professional experience connecting Japan and Africa, the CEO shared perspectives on cultural diversity, personal growth, and the importance of dreams and healthy lifestyles. The exchange aimed to broaden children’s global awareness and inspire them to view the world beyond borders.

Through initiatives like this, the TRAPIDE CEO continues to support meaningful people-to-people exchange, contributing to education, cultural understanding, and long-term connections between local Japanese communities and Africa beyond the scope of business alone..
